IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: VENUE CHANGE Due to the condition of the Lymm May Queen Field and the continued levels of rain, the 2024 Lymm May Queen festival has been relocated to the Village Centre.
Road Closures on 18th May 2024
The annual Lymm May Queen festival will be taking place this year on Saturday 18th May. The event includes a procession through the village centre. In order to protect the safety of those in the procession and of spectators, it is necessary to close a number of the roads in the village during this time.
The procession through the village will commence at 12pm. The road closures will be in effect for a short period before the procession and will be in effect until the procession is concluded and spectators have safely dispersed to the main event location in Davies Way and Henry Street car parks.
The following road closures will be in place on the day from 11.30am until 1.30pm. There will be provision for emergency services vehicles to be escorted through the village, however no other traffic will be permitted through the village during this period.
